Squat Academy and Saturday Workout Link

Dear Subscribers,

Here's an opportunity to work on improving flexibility and range of movement. Kelley Starrett, founder of The Ready State, is putting on a free 14 day mobility "challenge" focused on how to do a squat! How crazy is it that we need a course to teach us what our physiology was designed to do? But here we are...

The squat is a fundamental human position that most of us have forgotten how to access. This one movement enlists and demands hip, knee and ankle mobility. The workshop will focus on all of these areas over two weeks of daily online video instruction.

Ten minutes a day is the time commitment.

Do as much or as little of the exercises as you can or want. But don't dismiss it out of hand.

"There's no way I can do that!" is not the mindset of longevity and independence. Of course you can't do it right away! It takes time and patience. If you have a bad knee, respect that. If you need to go slower, fine. But you have to start somewhere, and it won't get easier the older you become!

The challenge is a promotional initiative for The Ready State. You have to sign up as a member, but you can cancel at no cost after the two weeks if you don't want to continue. I have derived value from being a member, but you may not. In which case, just cancel. Either way, this is a no obligation way to check out The Ready State and do some mobility work.

(I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH, AND RECEIVE NO FINANCIAL REMUNERATION FROM THE READY STATE FOR THIS ENDORSEMENT)

Project Athlete 30 minute Bodyweight Saturday Workout

Several of you joined Joe's workout last Saturday and asked if it would be continued. If you missed it, and want to join tomorrow, this week's link is below.

JOE SENDS A NEW LINK EVERY WEEK. IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE, PLEASE CONTACT JOE DIRECTLY TO GET ON THE MAILING LIST AS I WON'T BE SENDING OUT FUTURE LINKS.

The workout is free, it's friendly, and you can tailor it to your level of fitness. If your super-fit, think of it as a warmup or a tune-up. If you are just starting out, modify it and do what you can. If you're really scared and overwhelmed by the idea of working out, just tune in and watch it! You have to start somewhere… Nobody can see or hear you unless you turn on your camera and microphone.

Here's the Zoom meeting information for this Saturday, February 6th, at 10:00 am Eastern Time. No need to register ahead of time. Just click on the link and sign in with the code.

If you have dumbbells, get them out. If you don't, no problem. They are not required. Joe starts right on time, so log on a few minutes early...

Hope to "see" many of you this weekend!

Cheers, George.
